PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain has called for a ‘full-fledged operation’ against militants in Punjab because “major dens of terrorists are there and trainers of Pakhtun militants are Punjabis”.

Mr Hussain said that militants moved to Punjab after the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government took a strict action against them, adding that terrorists were active in Punjab mainly because they didn’t face any action there.

“We have informed Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif about the movement of militants to Punjab and he is ready to take action against them,” he said.

The minister said militants had also moved to other parts of the country and an effective action should be initiated against them.
